WEEK ONE RESULTS (AGAIN!)
Okay, so this is actually week two in the CFL schedule but for us here at the Super-Happy-Fun CFL Pool its only Week One!
Before I get to the results let me extend a hearty thanks to the kindness and understanding of all you Poolies out there. After the unexpected demise of my dear close Dell Dimension 4400 a lot of you sent e-cards of condolence. Just a few examples...

Thanks to you all, I could almost feel the warmth and love as I read those messages at Jake and Frieda's house. As for the lawsuit with Microsoft I'm sure it'll come through and help make the prize situation this season juicier than ever.
Now, on to the results! With 21 Poolies this year it'll be a hard-fought season of mind-numbing picks. Hey, who'd have picked Ottawa to take the Alouettes? Apparently no one...

If there are any discrepancies with this list please let me me know.. I believe I got everyone's picks via email and I'm hoping I didn't lose any. Notably missing though is Mr. David G. Unger. After picking a perfect 17 point week he doesn't even send in his picks! Sore? I guess we'll see... Congrats to the three gents who picked up a slim lead with 12 points. Nice to see that Chad and Mark together barely equal their father... As for everyone else, a bit of a tough week. That Montreal game took everyone by surprise. First of all, greetings from the Centre of the Universe and home of the 2004 Grey Cup Champions/2005 Team of Destiny, YOUR Toronto Argonauts! Now, in case that hasn't pissed all you ding-dongs out west enough, let me remind you that your beloved Blue Bombers are 0 for 2 with no hope in site. (Don't have a Hairy K-hari over it though. Maybe you just need a "new" quarter-back. I hear Hootie's still got his jersey.)
Anyway, I just wanted to suggest that perhaps Unger has decided (wisely) to go out on a high note with his perfect score from last (non) week. And I salute him for that. Now that Banman has left the pool, we need a bottom feeder. Sure, the vice-czar will always be close by, but we need someone even more pathetic than him! Please Unger, be that more pathetic person. The pool needs you.
Honourable mention goes to fellow Argonaut season ticket holder, Dan Roberts who has forsaken his hometown by betting against the Bombers - as a 4 pointer yet! Although you may get chased out of town next time you hit the stage there, I salute you.
Finally, where's the Duke? Usually by now he's yapping about how he's a big-time teacher and how he's going to sit on my head... Don't tell me he's mellowed out. Come on Duke, show yourself!

Whoa, I lost my composure there for a bit. Actually, now that I'm married I'm not really that interested in football. I like watching those home improvement shows. There's some really good ideas. Like paving over all of GD TO so that Winnipeg can have some more free downtown parking.
I'm also more into shopping for minivans and sensible shoes. Speaking of proper apparel Koopsamy, you're a perfect candidate for what not to wear. That Arrogant-not jersey just doesn't fit and the elastic on your Stoopid rugby pants is a little loose. I'd sure hate to see your spiderweb funderwear. Oh wait I did when we co-habitated, they sure were Smurfy!
Does that mean we were common law? You can have the crappy half of the Bombers.
Anyway I got better things to do than respond to the slings and arrows of you working drones. Oh wait, no I don't.
Maybe I should go over to Al President's and get some tips on how to keep busy and look busy doing it.
All I know is the BOO-mers better show up against Calgary (kind of like Ralph Malph vs Napolean Dynamite) or I'm going to jump on someone's head (It's very theraputic)

Boys and girls, picks are due tomorrow, that is Thursday, by 6 PM CDT (for you Easterners thats earlier than 6 PM, thanks to Sir Sanford Fleming!) We don't have any Newfies in this pool, do we? Good. I hate that whole half hour thing...
What this site needs is more characters! I hear that there is a wild man, a "kilted punter" roaming Halifax, looking for a stadium site for CFL team # 10!
